The government is planning to ban clothing that go against the local culture, ‘Neth FM’ radio reported today (Dec. 21). The Minister of Cultural and Aesthetic Affairs T.B. Ratnayake says a special committee has been appointed to prepare provisions relevant to this. The Minister further said the programme will be implemented from next year.
However, a fashion model speaking to web said this move by the government is the best joke of the century. She pointed out that the government should declare how they are going to define what semi-nudism is and they should explain clearly what criterion would be used to determine it.
