Minister Mervyn Silva seals tax defaulting shops ( Video )

On the orders of minister Mervyn Silva, several leading shops in Kelaniya area have been sealed for not paying their assessment tax dues.

The amount due from these shops, hotels and restaurants at Kiribathgoda town is said to be more than Rs. 40 million.

After the minister’s action, the owners of these businesses are now coming to the Kelaniya Pradeshiya Sabha to pay the taxes.
