Media is responsible if I commit suicide - Anusha Sonali

Former actress Anusha Sonali says the media that had thrown mud at her will be held responsible if she commits suicide.

Her name has been mentioned in media reports in connection with the recent clash at Welikada Prison, which had alleged her former husband had been killed in the incident.

Anusha has told a newspaper that she had got married to a man named Malan Menaka Pelpola, who had previously married under a different name, Malinda Nilendra Pelpola and had a child by that marriage.

She has said that she had no connection with him, but that it was unfortunate that the media had hastened to mention her name, instead of the man’s real wife, in their reporting about the prison clash.

Anusha has said that she had never visited Malan during his period of incarceration.

She had asked the media to check facts before publishing them.
