Ice Bucket Challenge for President by Malsha

Western Provincial Council member Malsha Kumaratunga, the daughter of Minister Jeewan Kumaratunga, today officially invited President Mahinda Rajapaksa to take the "Ice Bucket Challenge".

She also nominated UPFA Western Provincial Council member Hirunika Premachandra and Public Relations Minister Mervyn Silva for the Ice Bucket Challenge, which is going viral on social media.
Malsha Kumaratunga was nominated by popular singer Iraj Weeraratna who accepted the ice bucket challenge yesterday.

The ALS ‘Ice bucket challenge’ is an unanimous fundraiser originating from the American subcontinent area with the aim of raising a general fund to the people suffering from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis famously known as Lough Gherig’ Disease.

The Ice Bucket Challenge rules demands a person to pour a cool bucket of water on their while video recording and at the end they should upload the video to social media with hashtag #icebucketchallenge.

However when a person accepts and completes the challenge within the given 24 hours they are entitled to donate 10$ to the General ALS Fund and if they failed they should donate 100$ to the fund. But if a person chooses they can donate the full 100$ to the fund even though they completed the challenge.
