Nimal Lanza Appointed Wattala SLFP Organizer

Western Provincial Council Minister Nimal Lanza was appointed as SLFP Chief Organizer of Wattala Electorate.

Interestingly, Lanza came to the limelight once again early this week when he visited Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport to welcome the former Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa.

Meanwhile, several other organizers were also appointed. Accordingly, North Western Provincial Council Chief Minister Dayasiri Jayasekara was appointed as Chief Organizer of Bingiriya. Ampara Mayor Indika Nalin Jayawickrama was appointed as Chief Organizer of Ampara (South).

Udayakantha Gunathilaka and Kithsiri Wijetunga were appointed Organizers for Dedigama Electorate.

Lanza's protest in Expressway

Former Western provincial councilor Nimal Lanza and his supporters who entered the Colombo-Katunayake Expressway from Wattala yesterday (05) have held a vehicle parade obstructing the road over a long period of time.

His drunken supporters have wondered all over the road causing traffic.

Later on one lane of the highway was closed and provided for the vehicle parade.

The Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) had recently stated that, the United People's Freedom Alliance (UPFA) candidates violating the election laws by utilizing state power, is similar to taking performance-enhancing drugs .
