The Popular movie producer and director Thimathi Weeraratne passed away at a private hospital in Panadura yesterday.
The 74-year-old veteran cinematographer was the father of the popular actress Sangeetha Weeraratne. He had produced films such as ‘Me Desa Kumatada’, ‘Wana Bambara’ and ‘Sangeetha.’ Mr. Weeraratne was also the owner of Thimathi Photographic Studios.
His body remains at the residence, No 9, De Silva Mawatha, Panadura.
