Yoshitha Rajapaksa donates MRI Scanner to Lady Ridgeway hospital on his birthday.

The Lady Ridgeway Children’s Hospital in Colombo gets a modern scanner machine. The handing over of the modern MRI Scanner to the Hospital, a long felt need, took place under the patronage of First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa. A notable feature was the donation being made on Yoshitha Rajapaksa’s birthday. The value of the Scanner machine is 200 million rupees. Financial contributions came from the National Savings Bank, Seylan Bank and the Blueway Shipping Company of Singapore. Patients had to be on the waiting list for about seven months due to the lack of an MRI Scanner at the Hospital. The new donation will resolve this issue. Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa, Additional Health Secretary Dr. Palitha Mahipala and Director of the Lady Ridgeway Children’s Hospital Dr. Ratnasiri A. Hewage were among those present on the occasion.
