A house in the Botagoda area in Rathgama belonging to Sri Lankan cricketer Lasith Malinga was robbed by a group of thieves. They had only managed to take Rs.2000 from the house.
The incident was reported yesterday. The house was under construction and the suspects had entered the house through a window of a bathroom. They had then entered a room which was completed by removing a sheet in the roof.
The Rathgama police are investigating the incident and have deployed a special team into the area.
