Four men, including two Air Force personnel, have been arrested over the rape of a popular stage drama actress in Negombo.
The victim of the incident is receiving treatment at hospital.
The
actress, who had got separated from her husband around six months ago,
had come to stay at a home in Kadirana, where the suspects too, are
tenants.
She had allegedly been raped around 1.00 am on January 01 as she had been returning from a musical show.
One
Air Force man had dragged her and raped her, after which the three
others stripped her and raped her, she has complained to police.
Produced before the Negombo magistrate, they were remanded until January 15.
