The Most Venerable Maduluwawe Sobhitha Thera, the Chief Incumbent of the Kotte Naga Vihara, has passed away at a private hospital in Singapore early Yesterday morning. The Thera was rushed to a Singapore hospital on Tuesday (03) night due to a sudden illness. A government official said that they had decided to conduct the Thera’s funeral with full State honors.
Srilankan flight UL 309, carrying the body of the Most Ven. Maduluwawe Sobitha Thera from Singapore, landed at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) Katunayake a short while ago.
