Sheshadri Priyasad Sampath Photoshoot

Sheshadri Priyasad, the second daughter of film director and producer Dinesh Priyasad, got married on December 26.

Her Groom is Sampath De Silva. He is the son of Teledrama director and a top official of the president’s media unit Ranjan De Silva. The groom is employed at a diplomatic mission.

A wedding ceremony held on January 05 at Hotel Kingsbury.

Man with penis cut off dies at hospital



A man found on the road at Wanguwa on Dambulla-Kurunegala main road with his genitals cut off has died in hospital.

Police had gone to the scene on a tip off to emergency no. 119 in the early hours of today (11) and discovered the man with wounds caused by a sharp instrument.

Aged between 45 and 50 years of age, he died after admission to Dambulla Hospital, said police spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana.

Meanwhile, a 24-year-old married man has been hospitalized due to injuries caused after he cut his own genitals.

The man’s wife has told police that he was a mentally-ill person.

Namal Rajapaksa turns 28... Birthday Photos


Hambantota District UPFA Parliamentarian and Attorney-at-Law Namal Rajapaksa's 28th birthday falls last Tuesday (10).

All night pirith chanting was held at the Carlton House yesterday to invoke blessings on Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa on his birthday. President Mahinda Rajapaksa, First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa and a large gathering were present at the religious ceremony.

Namal born on 10 April 1986 is the eldest son of Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa and First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa. He contested the 2010 parliamentary election as one of the United People's Freedom Alliance's candidates in Hambantota District and was elected to Parliament.




















Princess Hemamala attended night clubs


The characteristics of Prasadi Samarakone, who plays the role of Princess Hemamala in Sanath Abeysekara's film ' Siri Daladagamanaya’, has been revealed.

In an interview to an art newspaper she revealed that she has attended night clubs in several occasions, however due to lack of time she is not doing it anymore.

She has said that she thus attended night clubs when she was young. (As far we know people below 19 cannot attend night clubs.)

She is not a vegetarian and that was only for the film, she has said.

Prasadi who studied in Mahamaya Girls' College, Kandy has two younger sisters.

HSBC Fashion Festival photos

HSBC Fashion Festival was recently held at the Race Course shopping precinct in Colombo.

The Festival scheduled from 24 March until 12 April 2014 brings together top models and fashion designers in the country.
