Padmasiri didn't 'sexually assault' me - Lakshika

Popular actress Lakshika Jayawardena refuses claims made by a certain local newspaper that teledrama director Padmasiri Kodikara has sexually assaulted her.

Speaking to SLM Lakshika said that he had made an attempt to obtain a sexual bribe.

Although she has informed the news editor of the publication to rectify the article, it is yet to happen, Lakshika added.

As there is a court case over the bribe incident, Lakshika said that she would inform the court about the detrimentary article.

Lakshika further said she is also contemplating on pressing separate defamatory charges as a large number of websites have cited the newspaper report.

Lakshika says no to bikini shoots

In a newspaper interview, she said that she will never agree to such suggestions.

Lakshika rejected claims that she gave prominence to semi-nude clothing in her fashions.

Showing a bit of legs for a photo shoot cannot be described as semi-nude, she said, adding that she has never exposed herself fully.

Lakshika has been in the news after she accused director Padmasiri Kodikara of having made lewd advances to her, and following rumours that she was having an affair with cricketer Chaturanga de Silva.

Chaturanga is not my lover – Lakshika

Lakshika Jayawadena, who attracted media over an incident where film director Padmasiri Kodikara has made an ill mannered proposal to her, has attracted a cricketer as well rumours say.

It is heard that the lovestruck cricketer is Chathuranga de Silva who has been begging for her love for sometime.

However, Chathuranga has not thus far been able to win her heart.

But Actress Lakshika Jayawardena says cricketer Chaturanga de Silva is not her lover, but a close friend.

Responding to rumours She says her regular meetings with Chaturanga as a close friend have been misinterpreted. 

Lakshika, who has accused director Padmasiri Kodikara of having made undue advances to her, also says her complaint against director Kodikara will be taken up by Mt. Lavinia police tomorrow.

The inquiry will also be attended by another actress Nishani Gamage, who has made similar accusations against him, said Lakshika.

Lakshika to complain over Padmasiri

Budding actress Lakshika Jayawardhana says that she is to lodge a police complaint against cinema and teledrama Director Padmasiri Kodikara for attempting to sexually abuse her.

Lakshika says that a fake Facebook page of her has been created after her fallout with Padmasiri and that she suspects an associate of Padmasiri is behind this.

Also, she says that she has been receiving a lot of nuisance calls after the incident.

She added that she had refrained from complaining to the police earlier over strong appeals from veterans and friends in the field.

However, Padmasiri has lodged a complaint with the Kandy police against her, Lakshika says.

Noting that the police has informed her to appear on March 24 to take up the case, Lakshika adds that she has informed the police that she will be unable to be present due to a special event that will take place on the same day.
