Gayesha - Hasanjith Wedding 5th of June

Gayesha Perera is a Sri Lankan actress and model who works in Sri Lankan and International films. She became a controversial character after acted in nude scenes of the film Flying Fish. Then she tried to enter politics too.

Now She is going to marry  famous singer Hasanjith Chathuranga Kuruppuarachchi. Their wedding will be held on June 5th at a Temple.

Gayesha's witness to the marriage is the Hambantota district parliamentarian Namal Rajapkasa, while the President Mahinda Rajapaksa will be Hasanjith's witness. The entire occasion is said to be vegetarian sources say.

Recently they went to India to do wedding pre-shoot. Wedding theme is Taj mahal accroding to sources.

Severe weather causes deaths & chaos

Severe weather that has brought torrential rains has affected several areas in the island. About 12 to 15 deaths have been reported and several others have disappeared say reports. 

In Kalutara District, according to unconfirmed reports, 9 or 12 deaths have been reported from Agalawatta, Bulathsinhala, Matugama and Welipanna areas while 2 deaths have been reported from Malabe. 

According to reports 5 or more people have been killed at Agalawatta due to an earth slip. At Ambagahakanda area at Bulathsinhala members of two families are missing when an earth slip occurred due to torrential rains say police. Another resident in the area has disappeared say police.  The police have not received a boat to go to the area say reports. 

At Pothuarama area at Malabe a couple has been killed when a wall collapsed on their house.
Meanwhile, disasters have been reported from several areas in the island. Several main roads as well as byroads in Colombo, Kalutara and Galle districts have gone under water while Welipanna exit and entrance point on Southern Expressway has been closed.

A large number of people have been confined to their houses due to surrounding areas going under water. 

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department forecasts heavy rains over 100 milliliters to Colombo, Kalutara, Galle, Matara and Ratnapura Districts during the next 24 hours. 

Jackson’s youngest with Aksha?

Saji Anuttara, the youngest son of actor Jackson Anthony, has reportedly got hitched with actress Aksha Sudari.

According to reports at the recent big birthday party of Aksha, Saji had been seen near her all the time.

Aksha’s boyfriend, actor and presenter Kavinga Perera, was a notable absentee at this party, which also gave wings to Saji’s reported hitching to her.

Havelock Road flooded

A cyclist and a motor car plough through flooding water along Sri Sambudhatva Jayanthi Mawatha, (Havelock Road) in Colombo which was flooded this evening due to heavy showers.
 

Gotabaya to eneter politics ?

 
The Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa has stated that he is ready to enter politics, at the discretion of the President. 
 
Though he has no personal interest towards entering politics he will have to obey, if the President made such a request, he said.

Defence Secretary has made these comments speaking to Wijeya group's latest publication, 'Deshaya' Sunday newspaper.

“I will have to engage in politics if the President at some occasion said that you should engage in politics and the country needs your service. There is no special interest as such.

If to enter politics it has to be from Colombo. Not from Hambantota. Because I am in Colombo now" he said.

Mother of two raped in Siyambalanduwa

 
A 24 year old mother of two living alone had been raped by three men on two separate occasions in Siyambalanduwa.

The men had first raped her throughout the night of May 16 at a preschool building, and had taken her in a three-wheeler as she was going to the police to lodge a complaint on the next day, and raped her again, police say.

She lives alone as her husband has taken their two daughters away, accusing her of having an affair with his brother.

However, police have found that accusation to be not true. The woman had been the target of several men after they got to know that she was living alone.

Following a complaint by her to Siyambalanduwa police, the three suspects have been arrested and remanded by courts.

Dilani's daughter to become a model

The daughter of actress Dilani Abeywardana and the singer Saman Pushpawarna has grown into a beautiful young lady.

It has been over 20 years since the couple migrated to the US with their children.

Dilani is currently serving as a beauty culture adviser in Staten Island of New York City.
