Former minister Mervyn Silva says that the person related to two accounts of assault on his son is none other than Yoshitha Rajapaksa, the son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
Speaking during an interview with a weekend newspaper, Silva has said
that Yoshitha Rajapaksa was linked to the recent assault of Malaka
Silva at a night club as well as an earlier assault on him at the Odel
car park.
The most recent clash had triggered after Malaka had given a bit of advice to one of Yoshitha's guards, Mervyn Silva has said.
Noting that the former President had only learnt of this incident at the last minute, Silva said that Mahinda Rajapaksa had visited Malaka within 45 minutes since the incident had occurred.
The Nawaloka Hospital, where Malaka was treated, had not even accepted the payment of the hospital bill, the former minister added.
Silva has also revealed that security cameras recording the clash were jammed.
