Sonu Nigam performed his first concert in the island last Saturday ( feb 18 ).
The 39 year old singer is the voice behind more than 1400 Indian film songs. Some of these include tracks from Kabi Kushi Kabhi Gham ,Kal Ho Na Ho , Kabi Alvinda Nah Kehna , Parineeta and film 3 Idiots.
Bollywood’s biggest music brand name dubbed the King of Playback in India performed live in Sri Lanka for the first time on February 18 at the CH & FC. He sang a number of his award winning songs for nearly two and a half hours entertaining the crowds which also included prominent politicians.
Mrs. Sudarma Neththikumara organizing this event. Most of Sri Lankan politicians and artists have been there at Sonu Nigam Live in Concert. Also first lady Shiranthi Rajapaksha was there.
