None of the family members of president Mahinda Rajapaksa owns a home or a vehicle, said the youngest of the family Rohitha Rajapaksa.
He has told Sunday Lankadeepa that despite various rumours about his family, they have nothing of their own.
Since
childhood, they had lived in state properties and used state vehicles,
or else a vehicle borrowed from a friend, according to him.
Rohitha,
an aspiring astronomer, is behind Sri Lanka’s first communication
satellite project that will be launched on November 22.
