The case against the husband of popular TV actress, and Gampaha district M.P, Upekha Swarnamali (Paba) for assaulting and causing injury to her has been fixed for October 11th either for settlement or hearing, by Nugegoda Magistrate and Addl. District Judge Mr. Ajit M. Masinghe.
The Mirihina police was directed to
produce relevant records from the Sri Jayawardena pura hospital
pertaining to the hospitalization period of the actress subsequent to
the assault.
This case was filed against the suspect,
her husband Mr. Mahesh Chaminda for an incident where it is alleged
that Swarnamali was assaulted and injured in a house in the Udhamulla
rea on the 16th of February , 2010.
