The Mundel police has arrested a Deputy Principal for raping a 07 year old child from his own school.
The arrested Deputy Principal, 38 years, is from the Puttalam Educational zone Madurankuli- Kandathoduwa area.
The child while on her way to school yesterday was picked up by the Deputy Principal on a cycle , taken to a remote house where the crime was committed, initial police investigations have revealed. The victim has been taken to the Chilaw base hospital for medicala investigations and treatment. The suspect is due to be produced before the Puttalam District courts. The Mundel police are conducting further investigations.
