An Auditor General report shows that the state owned Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation (SLRC) has incurred a loss of Rs. 42,575,585 after being used by the government for previous election campaigns.
The
auditor General. by presenting the financial statement for the
financial year ending Dec. 31, 2011, has pointed out that this is 07% of
the SLRC's entire debtors' balance.
Apart
from this, a large quantity of money is yet to be returned to the SLRC
from several institutions and organizations like the National youth
organization, State Printing Corporation, Chilaw Urban Council and the
Ministry of Mass Media and Information.
