MP Duminda Silva, injured in the Mulleriyawa political gunfight, was admitted to a private hospital in Singapore last night (Nov. 01), said a family member.
In the same evening, he got discharged from the Sri Jayewardenepura Hospital, where he had been treated since the October 08 incident.
Relatives had been hoping to take him to Australia for further treatment, but doctors had advised against taking him on a long journey.
It has now been decided to bring down US and Australian specialists to the Singapore hospital, said the family member.
The MP was accompanied by his father Lal Silva and brother Raynor Silva in the private flight to Singapore.
