Foreigners will consider Sri Lanka as an unruly country where even the president’s trade unions affairs advisor cannot live freely without fear, said minister Rajitha Senaratne.
Speaking at a function at his fisheries ministry yesterday (Oct. 11), he said a country or an industry cannot exist without discipline.
It was over votes that murder was committed, and it was none other than the president’s trade unions affairs advisor who got killed.
Foreigners would wonder what sort of a country this is, he said.
Therefore, those without discipline should not be in the party, said the minister, adding that those responsible would not count any longer despite any amount of votes they had secured for the party.
The blame for all these goes to the government as well as the president, he added.
