Super Six is Sri Lanka’s highest budget movie so far which was done at an estimated cost of 770 lahks.
It is about a group of friends who live in a enclosed apartment, crazy about nothing else cricket but, thinking of playing in a six-a-side tournament. They, do many things to keep their team as the best ever six-a-side team but the mischievous behavior of each and every one causes problems within the team. Their team consists of Ara (Roshan), Bhathiya (Pubudu), Madaya (Mahendra), Boora (Suneth) Udaya (Eranga) Ranga (Saman) and their captain Sanath (Hemal). After the joining of rival team captain, Jude (Saranga), the story takes an unexpected twist in to a different path. The lives of these mischievous youth with politics/ micro politics and there fantasies are the main theme of this movie.
It consists of songs which are shot in different in different countries at various locations. A vast array of fights and beautiful sceneries are in the movie. As well as some award winning acting by the cast. The female cast consists of Rasipaba, Aruni, Mallika while a number of award winning artists comes in as different characters at different scenes in the movie.
