Dilshan to Appear in Court

Sri Lanka cricketer Tillekaratne Dilshan has been issued with a notice to appear in court on March 6 in connection with a maintenance case concerning his nine year old son following a divorce from his wife Nilanka Vithanage.
Lawyers appearing for Nilanka said Dilshan has been issued with summons to appear in the Colombo Magistrate's court after he stopped paying a monthly allowance of Rs.20,000 from last November and an insurance premium for the past three years.
In her petition to court Nilanka has said that Dilshan presently earns a monthly income in access of Rs.12 million or more than Rs. 150 million per year.
The petition has also cited Dilshan to be earning Rs. 12.6 million per year from Sri Lanka Cricket, Rs.625, 000 for a Test match, Rs. 375,000 for an ODI, Rs. 275,000 from a T20 match, Rs. 300 million from the IPL from 2008 to 2012, Rs.50 million from the last World Cup in 2011, Rs. 18 million from the 2012 T-20 World Cup, Rs. 6.2 million from the SLPL and Rs.150,000 a month from MAS Holdings. The petitioner has also cited the cricketer to own houses and properties worth Rs. 250 million.
