Welikada women inmates sexually abused during prison queen contest

Women inmates of Welikada Prison were subjected to sexual harassment during a prison queen contest and modelling competition organized in view of international women’s day on March 08, reports lankacnews.

First lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa was the chief guest at the competition.

On the pretext of rehearsing the participants, several senior officers of the prison had abused several women, including some models who are charged with prostitution.

The so called rehearsals had taken place for five days until midnight for the best looking inmates.
